Digital Storytelling workshop

Celebrating Intl. Women Day 2021

In the lead up to the International Women’s Day, March 8th, Digital Storytellers (DS), African Documentary Festival Foundation, and Roast Foundation propose running a 2-day Bootcamp to enable female participants to craft and produce their own digital stories, shining a light on community stories around the effects of sexual and gender-based violence and the aftermath. The completed stories will be amplified through a promotional campaign delivered through digital channels.

The program will focus on authentic, community-centered storytelling to deeply explore these issues in a way that engages audiences and creates impact.

Participants will join in a facilitated 5-day Bootcamp (a hybrid of both in-person and online) to produce a powerful digital story. Throughout the program, participants will receive feedback and guidance from expert mentors at DS, ZF, and AFIDFF.
