“End Polio Now” Polio Day

  1. Organised a documentary awareness campaign on “End Polio Now” for young underprivileged documentarians in Nigeria.

  2. Facilitated Provision of wheelchair to a physically challenged person through Rotary Club International. 

  3. Organised a documentary Screening and Award Ceremony to Commemorate “ World Polio Day” with the theme “ End Polio Now”  in collaboration with Rotary Club International and NTA, supported by WHO, CDC, NPHCDA.

  4. In 2018, IWAYEC and AFIDFF was privileged to be engaged by Victim Support Fund (VSF)  1000 women (50 SLA groups) in Magumeri Local Government Area of Borno State. The women were given the sum of N30,000 each, totaling Thirty Million Naira, (N30,000,000.00) to scale up their economic activities in their various communities to improve their livelihood, under strict supervision of IWAYEC for a period of one year.

  5. Documentary Production titled “Insurgency and The Girl Child” focusing on the Effects of Insurgency on the Girl Child in the North Eastern part of Nigeria. Aired by NTA International.

  6. Conducted a workshop in December 2018 to train underprivileged and underrepresented documentarians and journalist on how to report impactful story in their communities with a theme Africa Telling Her Story. Participants were privilege to be trained by Grammy and Emmy Award winners from across the globe.

  7. Mentoring and training of 3 Documentary Competition winners.

  8. Documentary on Durba in Kano  Northern Nigeria
