African International Festival Foundation Signs MoU with National Troupe of Nigeria for Artistic and Cultural Development

The African International Documentary Festival Foundation today Thursday 6th October, 2022 signed a Memorandum of understanding with the National Troupe of Nigeria, marking another milestone and strengthening collaboration between the two organization.

Under this MoU, both parties will evaluate specific opportunities of collaboration within several areas of cultural development, sustainable management of art, protection and promotion of art and cultural knowledge in Nigeria.

 The agreement, a first step in the right direction covers a detailed agenda encompassing the coordination and development of initiatives and events in the cultural sector, this MoU was signed by the Director General, AFIDFF Malame Mangzha and the Artistic Director/Chief Executive Officer of the National Troupe of Nigeria, Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed.

Speaking at the signing, The CEO, National of troupe of Nigeria, Ahmed Mohammed expressed that he is delighted to sign the MoU with AFIDFF as it is an attestation to the cordial relationship between the two organizations. Partnerships like this are key to a collective mission to support the development and preservation of the cultural eco system.

Commenting on the partnerships, the DG AFIDFF, Malame Manzgha said there is need to protect the cultural heritage and identity of our nation as well as creating opportunities to promote and celebrate our national treasure. She also reiterated that considering our unique and diverse society, this partnership will take Nigeria’s art and cultural sector to the next level reflecting our distinctive identity and rich heritage as well as creating a platform for investment opportunities.

Furthermore, this agreement between both organization presents an opportunity to create awareness programs for promoting documentaries, music, visual and performing arts, artistic designs and as well as extend into education, research and learning.
