AFIDFF Strengthens Partnership with Nigerian Red Cross Society Ahead of 2026 Programming

AFIDFF’s Director General, Malame N. Mangzha, paid a strategic courtesy visit to the Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) today to strengthen engagement and explore areas of possible collaboration and partnership for 2026.

The meeting was held with key leadership of the Nigerian Red Cross, including the Secretary General, Mr. Abubakar Ahmed Kende, and the Director, National Society Development, Mr. Uchechukwu Okoro, as both organizations discussed opportunities for joint programming, volunteer engagement, capacity building, and community-driven impact.

The Nigerian Red Cross has remained an instrumental partner to AFIDFF since 2021, playing a vital role across several AFIDFF projects through its disciplined, dedicated, and highly committed volunteers. During the meeting, the Director General of AFIDFF expressed deep appreciation to the Red Cross leadership, commending their professionalism, strong coordination, and the outstanding conduct of their volunteers throughout AFIDFF initiatives.

In return, the Red Cross leadership commended AFIDFF’s Director General for her remarkable work over the years and reiterated their commitment to supporting future initiatives and strengthening collaboration moving into 2026.

In attendance were Mr. Sufyan Mutallab (Coordinator, NSD), Hannah Matthew (NSD Officer), Amoma Mofe (CEA Senior Officer), Manasseh Pampe (NSD Officer), Oguntoyinbo Michael (Security Officer), Kazeem Olanrewaju (PO, NSP), and Chima (Senior Communications Officer).

AFIDFF looks forward to deepening this valuable partnership in support of youth empowerment, volunteerism, heritage preservation, and community development across Nigeria.
